As hosts, we strive to make your stay at Hillside Hideaway comfortable and memorable. To support a great experience for all guests, we ask that you follow the rules outlined below, which were agreed upon at booking and should be shared with your group.

Rental Agreement/House Rules

Check-in time is after 3 pm

Check-out time is before 11 am

The person who reserved the booking must be present and at least 25 years of age during the stay.

Exceeding the reserved guest count will incur additional charges

No smoking or vaping inside the house, you may smoke outside but please dispose of butts properly

No pets permitted in the house or on the property

No parties or events at the house

Be considerate of the neighbors – quiet hours are from 10 pm-7 am

Do not drive in the grass areas of the yard

No Fireworks of any kind are permitted on the property

There is a fire ring provided; we do not provide firewood.  Use the fire pit responsibly and at your own risk.  Keep the fire small and contained at all times.  If it is windy and/or dry do not use the fire pit.

A charcoal grill is provided for your use. We do not provide charcoal/lighter fluid/lighter/foil. Please be courteous and clean after use.

We provide washers and dryers for your use. Use at your own risk; we are not responsible for damage to clothing including fading, tearing, etc.

Remove excess mud from clothing prior to putting it into the washing machine.  There is a hose available in front of the house to clean clothing or equipment from May to October. Don’t use the sinks or showers to clean mud from clothing/equipment.

Empty the lint filter before/after each dryer cycle

Remove muddy shoes before entering the house.  There are shelves provided in the entryway for helmets, shoes, etc.

The property is thoroughly inspected and cleaned for damages before each guest.  If you find that we missed something, notify us immediately.

No burning candles in the house

Do not remove towels, washcloths, or linens from the property; there will be a $15 charge for each missing item.

Ensure the doors are locked before leaving; we are not responsible for lost or stolen items

There are security cameras located on the exterior of the house; tampering with these will result in a $200 fine and/or cancellation of the remainder of your stay with no refund.

A trail navigation tablet is available to guests free of charge and must be coordinated.  An additional damage deposit is required for the tablet. Please charge the tablet after use.

Place all trash in the bins next to the house.

Place all used towels and washcloths in the laundry room before checkout.  Bedding can remain; cleaners will launder during cleaning.

Load and start the dishwasher; please hand wash large pots before check out

The security deposit will be fully refunded if the following conditions are met: no damage to the property or contents; all trash disposed of in outside containers; soiled dishes washed or in the dishwasher before checkout; no missing or damaged items or linens; no missing remote controls ($50 fee per remote); tablet undamaged and charged ($400 fee).

Violation of any of these rules may result in cancellation of the remainder of the stay with no refund and/or loss of security deposit

*Inclement weather can disrupt power and internet services, causing outages beyond our control. Outages typically don’t last long. No refunds will be issued for outages beyond our control.
